650th Anniversary of Margery Kempe In 2023 we will celebrate 650th anniversary of the birth of King's Lynn's medieval mystic, pilgrim and author - Margery Kempe. A series of events will take place at King's Lynn Minster in Autumn 2022 and throughout 2023 to celebrate: Wednesday 19th October 2022 6pm - Talk: The Real Margery Kempe by Susan Maddock Wednesday 26th October 2022 6pm - Talk: Margery Kempe's Lynn: A Hanseatic World by Dr Paul Richards Wednesday 2nd November 2022 6pm - Talk: Margery Kempe: A hysterical exhibitionist or a devout Christian? By Rev Dr Luke Penkett Wednesday 9th November 2022 6.30pm - 9pm - Margery Kempe Day - King's Lynn Variety Night: Readings and performances inspired by the play "Skirting Heresy" by Elizabeth MacDonald.
